Jennifer Baker reports:

Gas prices are up just in time for Thanksgiving after nine weeks of falling prices.

The national average price has risen eight cents in the last week, but gas is still about 19 cents less than at this time last year, AAA reports.

The average cost of gas in Cincinnati is $3.25 per gallon, according to www.cincygasprices.com . Nationally, gas per gallon is listed at about $3.28, according to AAA.

About 43.4 million Americans are expected to travel 50 miles or more during the holiday weekend. To avoid gas-line freeze-ups in cold weather, motorists are advised to keep tanks half full.

The recent uptick in prices is mostly due to refinery issues in the Gulf Coast region, according to AAA.

The price increase is expected to be short-lived.
